Open burning starts tomorrow in St. Joseph

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The St. Joseph Health Department has announced open burning of dry yard within city limits for the month of April. The period serves as a time when citizens may openly burn yard waste within a proper container.

Starting in April, controlled fires are allowed between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. and must take place 15 feet away from any building. The health department urges people to abide by the additional regulations which can be found on their website.
